In my professional life I am a 3d animator. I live in Berlin, Germany in the district of Wedding and work as a freelancer for more than 20 years now. If you are interested you can visit my other site, my professional site under www.studio-fabian.de.

I've always liked to tinker, knead, carve. For a few years now I have been getting more and more involved in building figures, mostly inspired by people I have seen in everyday life. On this site, my other site, I present these figures to the public for the first time.
I have the vague hope to some day document my experience with the various workflows and materials here in detail. For now only so much:
There are various types of oil based clay, clay and wax, a lot of wire, a camera and a computer with which I can scan and process the models, several 3d printers and very different types of filament, silicone for the moulds and various varieties of plaster plus a little beer, no, not for drinking. In addition, dirty fingers, dirty clothes, which I usually only protect or change when it is already too late and an apartment which is really too small for this sort of occupation and is periodically overcome by the big dusty chaos. (At this point a big thank you to my daughter Lian, who puts up with plaster dust, permanently occupied surfaces and 3d printers rattling for days and nights without complaining!)
In the end, it's fun and makes me happy. And even if I earn my money with something else, if you like the stuff, please tell me. If you want to know something or even want to buy, ask me.
I will be in Wendland this May (2018) at the Kulturelle Landpartie (KLP) and exhibit my figures and give courses. Please come and meet me there. More information coming soon.
